The Harvard undergraduate women in CS group held their third annual conference this year. It’s first year was during my senior year of college and I didn’t go, but this year I volunteered and moderated a panel on Tech for Social Good. It’s incredibly impressive and well-organized, especially considering it’s student run (and CS student run – where do they find the time??). Professionals fly in from all over the country (there’s a huge Silicon Valley presence) and give talks, host workshops, and speak on panels. I had a great time connecting with some students about tech for social good/mission driven/civic tech.
